Nature’s PRIME® Poppers Tikka Masala

Yields10 Servings

Ingredients
2 lbs Nature's Meat™ Poppers (8 oz Nature's PRIME Poppers cooked according to package directions)
  cup Canola oil
2 Medium yellow onions - finely chopped
2 tbsp Ginger - finely chopped
 3 ½ tsp Garam masala
 2 ½ tsp Coriander - ground
 2 tsp Cumin - ground
 4 cups Crushed tomatoes
 2 ½ cups Coconut milk
 2 tsp Salt
 2 tsp Sugar
½ tsp Black pepper - ground
½ cup Cilantro - chopped as garnish
5 cups White basmati rice - cooked
Instructions
1

In a large pan over medium heat, add the oil. Add the onions and ginger and cook, stirring frequently until softened, 5 to 7 minutes. Do not brown onions; reduce the heat if necessary.

2

Add the spices and cook 2 minutes more. Add the tomatoes, coconut milk, salt, sugar and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer, uncovered, about 20 minutes or until slightly thickened. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary, using more salt and sugar.

3

Add Nature's Poppers to the sauce and simmer until warmed through.

4

To serve: Portion warm rice into bowls or on plates. Top with Nature's Poppers and sauce. Sprinkle with cilantro. Enjoy!
