Nature’s PRIME® Mini Bits Vegetarian Bolognese

Yields4 Servings

 1 lb Nature’s Meat™ Mini Bits (4 oz Nature’s PRIME cooked according to package directions)
 4 tbsp Olive oil
 1 medium Onion - chopped
 1 large Carrot - chopped
 1 large Celery stalk - chopped
 ½ tsp Salt
 Freshly ground pepper to taste
 ½ cup Whole milk
 Pinch of Nutmeg
 ¾ cup Dry white wine
 1 jar (32 oz) Favorite pasta sauce
 12 oz Cooked pasta

In a deep, wide skillet over medium heat, add olive oil, onion, carrot, and celery, stir.
Cook, stirring often, for 5 minutes, or until soft, but not browned.


Add Nature’s Bits, heat for 2 minutes.


Add the milk, reduce heat to simmer, stirring occasionally until the milk has almost completely evaporated.
Stir in the nutmeg and salt.


Add the wine, continue to simmer until the wine has almost evaporated.


Add pasta sauce, simmer until sauce is thickened.
Portion pasta into bowls, top with sauce.
